Signs You Should Hire A Professional Mold Testing Company In Bethpage, NY

Mold inspection is essential. Though how will you come to know you have mold in your home? Keep reading below seven signs indicating you need mold testing to prevent the little monsters from taking over your home.

1) Windows With Evaporation

Mold growth in the wood covering your window seal can be caused by the moisture inside your windows. Moistness on your windows is probably an indication that your home’s humidity level is too high. If you suspect excessive moisture damage, have them tested or consider using a filtration system.

2) Potential Visible Signs Of Mold

Mold may be present if you notice long-term brown, black, or green mold spore on your walls and doors, furniture, or inside wardrobes. Commonly mold is detected in places surrounded by a moist environment due to severe water damage.

However, mildew could also affect these spots, so you must consult a mold testing professional in Bethpage, NY, to confirm mold presence.

3) Moldy Or Musty Odor

Mold growth is indicated by a moldy or musty odor that seems to be prominent when doors or windows are closed. Because mold spore is microscopic, it is common to smell mold before seeing it.

Mold spots on the window frame and seal appear to be having thousands of mold spores. Therefore, contacting mold remediation professionals in NY as soon as you detect a moldy or musty odor may help prevent further mold growth.

4) Mold Inspection While Purchasing A New House

Figuring mold in your new house can be both shocking and costly. So, before signing any contracts, it is recommended that a mold inspector in Bethpage, NY, should undertake a water damage assessment and mold test. If you don’t, you will be hiring a mold removal specialist in a few months to fix the severe damage in your house.

5) Water Seepage Through Facades

Water can permeate exterior walls that are constantly dampened by rain or water pumps. Spillages both inside and outside the house demonstrate that water is soaking through the wall cavities.

Extreme moisture due to severe water damage will promote mold growth, particularly in basements. In this case, call water damage restoration process professionals and mold remediation specialists from First Response Restoration and Cleaning Inc. in Nassau County right away.

6) Water Spills

Bethpage, NY

As we know, water damage and mold growth occur one by one. A water leak will always result in mold damage. If your home has been damaged by water and you suspect that it contains mold, the best way to find out is to hire a professional mold cleanup service in NY.

7) Worsening Asthma Or Allergies

Mold is an allergen, so if your allergies or asthma worsen, it may be due to mold growth. The emergence of new allergies or respiratory problems is a strong indicator of mold spores and contamination. Furthermore, sick pets may indicate that the air quality in your home is poor and that mold is present, as animals are affected before humans.

Some information about Bethpage, NY

Bethpage is a hamlet located on Long Island within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York, United States, as well as a census-designated place (CDP) with borders slightly different from those of the hamlet. The CDP’s population was 16,429 at the 2010 United States Census.

The name Bethpage comes from the Quaker Thomas Powell, who named the area after the Biblical town Bethphage, which was between Jericho and Jerusalem in the Holy Land. Present-day Bethpage was part of the 1695 Bethpage Purchase. An early name for the northern section of present-day Bethpage was Bedelltown,a name that appeared on maps at least as late as 1906.

On maps just before the arrival of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), the name Bethpage appears for a community now included in both the post office district and school district of the adjacent community of Farmingdale. In 1841,train service began to Farmingdale station, near a new settlement less than a mile eastward from what had previously appeared on maps as Bethpage. Schedules at that time do not mention Bethpage as a stop, but have a notation ‘late Bethpage’.On an 1855 map,the location identified as Bethpage has shifted slightly westward to include a nearby area now called Plainedge.

Between 1851and 1854,the LIRR initiated a stop within present-day Bethpage at a station then called Jerusalem Station, and on January 29, 1857 a local post office opened, also named Jerusalem Station.LIRR schedules listed the station also as simply Jerusalem.Residents succeeded in changing the name of the post office to Central Park, effective March 1, 1867 (respelled as Centralpark from 1895 to 1899).The Central Park Fire Company was organized in April 1910, and incorporated in May 1911. In May 1923 the Central Park Water District was created.
